Basic  Information

The Select program is for those players and parents looking to play extra games and/or tournaments beyond their house league schedule.  The typical level of play is above what the average House player might otherwise find and is a good stepping stone to the CAHA Travel Program.

Select Teams are formed each year approximately one third of the way through the season.  They are created at the Mite, Squirt and Pee Wee level and are comprised of CAHA house players and coaches.

Each coach nominates 3-5 players based primarily on skill.

Players will go through an evaluation process and the top 15 (or so) players will be given the opportunity to play on the select team for the remainder of the season.

Select teams are entirely self-funded and are not allowed to interfere with a players house team practices or games.  Select Coaches are responsible for all scheduling practices, games and tournaments are must be approved by the Division Coordinator to ensure there aren't any conflicts.
