2008 Columbus Capitals AA
2008 AA Head Coach
Jeff is a Level 4 USA Hockey certified coach and is returning as the Head Coach for the 2008AA this year. Jeff has several years of experience coaching at a variety of levels. He has experience coaching at the Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget/High School JV and college club levels. He has coached house and travel, as well as been a program administrator for a squirt travel program. He has coached in Columbus, Newark and at OSU-Newark.
Jeff is a coach who focuses on developing the skills of hockey players on and off the ice. He focuses on making sure players develop their individual skills, learn to work together as a team and develop an understanding of the game of hockey.

2009 AA Blue Head Coach
Steve is a Level 4 USA Hockey certified coach. He grew up playing travel hockey in the Toledo area, winning Tier II Pee Wee national and midget International Silver Stick titles. Following two years of high school hockey at Sylvania Northview, Steve walked-on and played two seasons at Ohio State (CCHA).
He has coached with CAHA in each of the past seven seasons (mite house, squirt house/select head coach, pee wee and bantam Capitals AA asst. coach). He also spent three seasons as head coach of the Gahanna HS club team in its early years, his first stint with team coaching.
Steve is a strong advocate of the player development path provided by the CAHA organization and looks forward to working with a new group in the upcoming season.

2009 AA White Head Coach
Josh Sockrider is a Level 4 coach. He has coached a variety of levels: Head Coach for Bowling Green High School JV, Head Coach for Thomas Worthington High School Varsity, Assistant Coach at Thomas Worthington Varsity. He has been coaching for over 20 years from high school to mite.
Josh grew up in Bowling Green, Ohio playing travel hockey in the Little Caesars Travel Hockey League as a goalie. In high school, his team was Ohio High School State runner-up. He played one season of D1 college hockey with BGSU.
His coaching philosophy is to create a positive environment for kids to develop their hockey skills and help them learn to work harder for their teammates than themselves. He focuses on development and also ensuring the kids have fun.
2010 Columbus Capitals AA
2010 AA Head Coach
Jim and his family have been with CAHA for 7+ years. He was fortunate to have lived hockey professionally as an equipment manager for 21 years. He worked for 8 years in professional hockey and for 13 years was with Ohio State Women’s Ice Hockey. He has been with Ohio State Athletics for 16 years in total. While at Ohio State, he worked with USA Hockey, including 2 World Championships in 2008 in Harbin China and 2009 in Finland as well as the Vancouver Olympics in 2010.
He has head coached house hockey and was an assistant coach for the Bantam select team in 2018-19, Head Coach of the 2009-10 A in 2019-2020 and Head Coach of the 2010 AA in 2020-2021. He has coached travel baseball for 12 years and middle school level in 2018-19.
His coaching goals are to ensure the kids have fun and fall in love with or stay in love with the game of hockey. Skill development and team concept is crucial at the Pee Wee age group and will be a focus throughout the season. He also believes in kids playing multiple sports and he uses other sports to help explain different concepts within the game of hockey.

2010 A Head Coach
Jeff Sharp will serve as the Head Coach for the 2010 A team. This will be Jeff's second year with the 2010 A team having served last year as an assistant coach.
Jeff has coached hockey in Central Ohio at various levels for the past 7 years. He has been a program administrator and board member in the Central Ohio hockey community.
He looks forward to a season of fun and developing the players in both their hockey skills and in their love of the game.
2011 Columbus Capitals AA Blue
2011 AA Blue Head Coach
Chris Reel will serve as the Head Coach for the Columbus Capitals 2011AA team. This will be Chris' second year coaching the Capitals 2011AA team. Chris has dedicated the past 7 years to coaching youth hockey at various levels.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, he played throughout Ontario during his playing career with and against some of the NHL's top active players. He finished his playing career with the St. Andrew's College Saints.
His coaching philosophy is simple–the harder you work the more fun you have. Chris is dedicated to developing the next generation of hockey-loving athletes in Columbus and is excited to serve as head coach for the upcoming season

2011 AA White Head Coach
Adam is a level 4 USA hockey coach. He has been coaching now for 8 years with the last 3 years coaching the CCYHA Blue Jackets 08A team.
Adam was born and raised in Philadelphia where he played 4 years of varsity high school hockey.
He moved to Columbus OH in 2006 and resides in Dublin with his wife Dawn and three boys (Evan, Jaden and Caelen).
His philosophy when it comes to coaching is on player development and teaching the kids how to play hockey the right way. Adam has a passion for the sport and loves teaching kids. As a head coach, he believes we are doing more than just teaching hockey, we are also teaching the boys how to grow up, be leaders, and to be the best person they can be.

2011 A Head Coach
Chris has been coaching youth hockey at various levels in Central Ohio over the last 5 years, and has taught hockey classes on-and-off since 2001.
Originally from Battle Creek, MI, Chris most recently served as an assistant coach for the 2010/11 Capitals Select team.
Chris played hockey growing up in Michigan, and has undergraduate and graduate training in sport science and coaching.
His coaching philosophy centers on the development of each player in skill and game sense, in love for the game, and in respect for teammates and opponents. Communication is key for Chris's coaching style - between players and coaches, parents and coaches, and between the players themselves.
He is excited to serve as head coach for the 2021-22 season, and looks forward to a season of fun and growth.
2012 Columbus Capitals AA
2012 AA Head Coach
Nick Petraglia is currently in his third season coaching with the Columbus Capitals, and second as head coach of the 2012 age group. He also serves as the Executive Vice President with the AAA Blue Jackets where he assists with the oversight of all operations of the program.
Prior to his arrival in Columbus, Petraglia spent 20 years at Miami University as a student-athlete, coach and administrator. He was part of teams that won 5 conference championships, participated in 10 NCAA Tournaments and advanced to 2 Frozen Fours. Petraglia has recruited/coached more than 20 players with NHL experience, 12 all-Americans, 32 all-conference selections, 3 conference players of the year and one Hobey Baker Award winner and Olympic captain.
A certified USA Hockey Level IV coach, Petraglia was a charter member and mentor for USA Hockey’s Warren Strelow Program, which is responsible for identifying and developing the nation’s elite level goaltenders. He has worked numerous USA Hockey development camps and assisted with the evaluation and selection of national teams for the National Team Development Program, Hlinka Gretzky Cup and 5 Nations tournaments.
As a player, the Faribault, MN native helped lead Shattuck-St. Mary’s Prep to prominence and was in goal for the program’s first ever USA Hockey 18U National Championship in 1999. At Miami, he posted a .902 career save percentage and a 2.21 goals-against average from 2000-04 and helped the RedHawks qualify for the NCAA Tournament as a senior.
Petraglia received his bachelor's degree in sport organization from Miami in 2004 and his master's degree in sport behavior and performance in 2007. He currently resides in Galena with his wife (Becky) and children (Rocco and Athena).

2012 A Head Coach
Brad just finished his first season coaching at CAHA. Originally from the Pittsburgh area,
Brad has played hockey at various levels, from bantam to ACHA hockey at the University of Pittsburgh.
In coaching the Squirt age group, he believes in individual skill development and the use of small-area games to improve play.
He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and has used those skills to lose all arguments with officials. He was, however, able to negotiate an acceptable playlist with his team to be played prior to games. Brad does his best to make sure that any child he coaches has fun, feels valued, and wants to keep playing this wonderful game.
He couldn't be more excited to continue coaching in 2022-2023.
2013 Columbus Capitals AA
2013 AA Head Coach
Zach started playing hockey at the age of five and played travel hockey with both CAHA and CCYHA growing up. He played varsity for four years in Dublin, OH.
He began coaching hockey while in college. He started out as an assistant coach for Team Columbus u18s and worked his way to becoming the head coach of Team Columbus u18s, which he has been for the past 8 years. He has coached a variety of different levels and age groups over the last 10 years at CAHA, Dublin Scioto, Team Columbus, etc. and focuses his coaching on development and fun (you can do both!).
Zach is a school counselor for Hilliard City Schools and has a bachelors degree in psychology from OSU and a masters degree in education from Capital University.
