Keith Ebare
18U Head Coach
Keith Ebare is a native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, where he grew up playing hockey at every level from house to AAA. After midgets, he skated for the Cambridge Winter Hawks Junior B for 2 seasons before committing to play for the Division 1 Bowling Green State University Falcons.
Keith has been part of the CAHA organization for the past 12 years, coaching from Mini-Mite through Midget level. In addition to his coaching experience, he also served as the Mite and Mini-Mite coordinator for 2 seasons as CAHA was shifting into the American Development Model (ADM). Keith also served as assistant coach for Olentangy Berlin’s High School Varsity hockey team this past year.
Holding a Level 4 USA Hockey coaching certification, Keith has learned the importance of being a teacher, a mentor and a positive example for young athletes. He expects players to work hard, have focus, ask questions, be engaged and be committed to improving as both a player and a person. In many ways, the life lessons learned from playing a team sport like hockey have as much to offer a player as the fitness and fun that comes from the game itself.
